Mr. Slater is a self-employed attorney admitted to the New York and Connecticut State Bars since 1988. He serves as General Counsel for a number of entrepreneurial and media companies specializing in publishing, film and television production, Fortune 500 consulting, the music business, and international art transactions. Mr. Slater specializes in business, real estate, entertainment and intellectual property law. He also has an MBA and assists growing companies in strategic planning, financial management, structuring workforces, reducing liability, and managing litigation. Mr. Slater is also experienced in negotiations, labor law, personnel issues, risk management, and compliance. For over two decades he has guided clients on all aspects of the manufacturing, labeling, advertising, and distribution of consumer products, over the counter drugs, and dietary supplements. We organize businesses, incorporate companies, and draft bylaws, shareholder agreements, employment contracts, employee manuals, joint venture deals, licensing agreements, partnership agreements, financing agreements, real estate contracts, and most other legal documents relating to businesses. Media & Entertainment Law: Our law firm has represented film companies, media companies, publishers, producers, directors, writers, actors, record companies, and art galleries and dealers. We are well versed in all areas of media, entertainment and art law.

Real Estate: We represent clients buying and selling real estate and cooperative and condominium apartments. We draft and negotiate leases and we advise as to litigation of landlord and tenant matters in court.

OTHER SERVICES: David Slater acts as an independent consultant assisting corporations to develop, improve, and leverage their own in-house corporate media and communications departments. Mr. Slater is experienced in all aspects of implementing and managing High Definition (HD) Video production facilities for business, educational, and entertainment purposes.
